Lithogen offers the Geodevice AeroSmartMag for rent in Canada and the USA and for sale within Canada.
The Geodevice AeroSmartMag is a drone-mountable overhauser magnetometer that offers high sensitivity, sampling rates up to 5 Hz, and superior accuracy (less than 0.1 nT). More importantly, it also offers ultra-low heading error and no dead zones. The magnetometer and (user supplied) LiPo battery weigh 1.4 kg – an ideal payload for an M300 or similar drone. Competing against more expensive cesium solutions, this magnetometer is superior in all categories except for sample rate. It also does not require aerodynamic stabilisation.
If using an M300 or similar drone, Geodevice recommends using third party flight planning software from https://www.sphengineering.com/flight-planning/ugcs rather than the built in flight planning software.
